This is the mssion of Lori Ferris. I am 2 weeks away from competing in my 10th event (Marathons & Triathlons) as a member of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of America Team in Training. For the past 3 years I have competed in 2 events a year, swimming, cycling, and walking, all in an effort to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In total, I have Successfully raised $30,727! There have been tears, injuries, and hours spent at the gym preparing for the mental and physical aspects of these events, but this does not compare to the pain and anguish the families of those stricken with this disease suffer and perservere with on an everyday basis.

With the help and support of my family and friends, I am once again going for the gold. I have pledged to raise $10,000 this year and will participate in 2 triathlons (St. Petersburg Florida on 4/29 and Chicago on 8/26).

My personal goals to finish these events are not as important as raising money to fight Leukemia and Lymphoma.
